I am now an officially certified EPIC Bridges Interface Administrator
I am now an officially certified EPIC Bridges Interface Administrator.Nice bullet point for the Resume or LinkedIn I guess. What does this really mean in my day to day? Well it means that I’m certified so I get to keep my position at the new job. It makes me marketable if I was interested in marketing myself. More so it just means that I’m competent in understanding the technical intricacies of HL7, managing interfaces, interface engines, and enterprise healthcare data-flow.
Epic Systems Corporation
Back in January, I visited Madison Wisconsin, EPIC’s amazing “Intergalactic Headquarters“, and took a two day class in their tooling and workflow. Once I felt competent in the materials, they FedEx’ed a test to HR. I went to a secret hidden testing facility and took a timed test while being scrutinized through one way glass. At the completion, I watched it be placed and sealed into a FedEx return envelope where it was flown directly back to EPIC headquarters for grading. It arrived on a Friday and I just received word last night that I passed.

GREAT JOB ON PASSING THE TEST, DID YOU RECEIVE A GRADE? I AM GLAD YOU ARE DOING SO GOOD KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
It’s pass fail… I missed a few points, but they don’t tell you what you missed, or what area, or what even made up the score, so it’s very arbitrary on what it all means…
Congrats!!! :)
